This site was created to bring awareness to my son's issue. Here you will find many ways you can help, as well as lots of information about our 5 year attempt to clear my son.
Please help my eight year old son get off the "No Fly List".
Let John Fly
They say no kids are on it yet DHS sends email saying otherwise. Write to DHS and local branches of government asking them to help John get off this list and get a letter of apology for the mistake that has him afraid of his government. He feared they will take him away because they think he is a bad guy, when he is not. Nothing I say takes this fear away because he knows he is on this list from his experience. He does not even want to try and fly nor do I, not until I have a guarantee it will not start this fear again. John has been quoted " I am not a terrorist. I do not fly planes in to buildings or mountains" Not sure where the mountains came from but he is a child. John's story has appeared in USA Today, New York Times, Air America on The Lionel Show, Fox news, KSTP, KARE 11, KSMP, WCCO, Star and Tribune, Bipolar Nation and many other publications, television show, and radio. All has help bring awareness but none has gotten him off this list. We are currently working with Senator Klobuchar. DHS said they would send a letter in 8/08 yet no letter has been received and John is still checking the mail box.
